Job Title: Derivatives – Bilateral Collateral Shift (UK)
Standardized Job Description Overview
The role is responsible for the settlement and lifecycle management of all derivative trades, ensuring timely trade, cash, and position reporting to fund administrators. The position requires regular interaction with internal teams and external brokers, custodians, and fund administrators. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced operations environment and enjoys working collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities
Provide full post-execution operational support to Fund Managers and internal teams.
Support daily processing and confirmations for all derivatives trading, including:
Margin and collateral management
CFD trade confirmations (trade date)
OTC electronic confirmations for Options, CDS, IRS, and Inflation Swaps
Manage transaction processing, margin/collateral workflows, and reconciliation of exchange-traded and OTC derivatives across global investment desks.
Act as an escalation point for brokers, custodians, and internal clients for derivative lifecycle issues.
Monitor and process all trade and lifecycle events.
Prepare and deliver reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
Investigate and resolve breaks with executing brokers, custodians, and third-party administrators.
Liaise with fund administrators, ensuring accurate information flow and timely response to queries.
Prioritize workload and escalate issues appropriately.
Build strong relationships with Fund Manager Assistants, Dealers, and operational teams.
Escalate unresolved discrepancies in line with agreed service standards.
Support Analyst and Junior Analyst colleagues through knowledge sharing.
Contribute to process improvements, risk reduction initiatives, and operational changes.
Ensure procedures and controls remain updated and deadlines are met.
Participate in projects, regulatory initiatives, and client onboarding.

Must-Have Skills & Qualifications
A-Level education (or equivalent).

Proficiency in Excel.
Previous experience with derivatives and exposure to a range of OTC products (e.g., CFDs, Swaps, Options).
Experience in margin and collateral processes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented operations environment.
Good-to-Have Skills & Qualifications
Experience with the Aladdin platform.
IMC qualification or progress toward it.
Advanced Excel skills (Macros, BQL, Power Query).
Exposure to regulatory change projects or client onboarding processes.
Experience guiding junior team members.
