The Associate Director will play a pivotal leadership role in managing complex, high-stakes development and philanthropic initiatives that drive transformational impact. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee multiple large-scale, strategic development and philanthropic programs end-to-end, ensuring alignment with organizational vision and impact objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth individuals, philanthropists, foundations, and senior stakeholders, helping design and implement strategic giving portfolios that maximize social returns.
- Shape the strategic direction of the practice, translating long-term goals into operational plans and measurable KPIs.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, leadership development, and talent retention.
- Conceptualize, design, and scale innovative sector-strengthening initiatives that drive systemic change and enhance institutional capacity.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with non-profits, governments, multilateral agencies, and knowledge partners to amplify impact and sustainability.
- Drive resource mobilization, including identifying new funding opportunities, cultivating donor relationships, and securing multi-million-dollar commitments.
- Represent the organization in national and international forums, contributing to thought leadership, advocating for systemic change, and positioning the firm as a leader in strategic philanthropy and development advisory.
Candidate Requirement
- 12+ years of experience in the development sector, international development, management consulting, or start-ups with strong exposure to multi-stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated success in leading large, high-impact programs with clear evidence of driving measurable change.
- Ability to define long-term strategic priorities and oversee their execution.
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to engage with HNIs, senior philanthropists, development leaders, and critical stakeholders.
- Skilled at building, influencing, and sustaining long-term partnerships.
- Extensive experience leading large, multi-year projects with responsibility for budgets, timelines, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong process orientation, with a track record of creating systems that drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Strong analytical ability to shape strategies using data-driven insights.
