Bristol Myers Squibb is advancing new and next-generation therapies while exploring and investing in advanced technological capabilities to unlock the power of medicine. We are seeking a strategic, business-oriented Data Strategy Deployment Lead to join our Global Product Supply (GPS) organization. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the execution of GPS global data and digital strategy across the Supply Chain and Operations network at BMS. This leader translates enterprise data ambitions into action, ensuring that data capabilities governance, quality, architecture, analytics, and AI enablement are driving in unison towards our larger strategy. The role partners closely with global operations leaders, data product owners, and data governance leads to accelerate adoption, measure business impact, and scale data-driven ision-making across the network. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of data, business process, and digital transformation, offering the opportunity to shape how a global biopharma organization uses data as a strategic asset in its Supply Chain & Operations (GPS) function.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Deployment & Execution
  • Lead deployment of GPS Data Strategy across key functions including, supply chain, quality, manufacturing, product development and more
  • Translate strategic priorities (data governance, interoperability, AI enablement, digital process design) into operational implementation plans and actions
  • Own adherence to the data strategy roadmap, aligning with business transformation initiatives in manufacturing, quality, supply, and technical operations and more.
  • Serve as the connective tissue between central data strategy teams and site and functional-level operations, ensuring consistent execution and local adaptation.
Change Leadership & Adoption
  • Drive change management efforts to build a data-driven culture and ensure adoption of new capabilities, tools, and standards.
  • Act as a champion for data as an enterprise asset strategy building awareness and literacy across all levels of the organization.
  • Establish communities of practice and governance forums to share learnings, align standards, and sustain progress.
Data Capability Development
  • Partner with Data Architecture, Engineering, and Governance teams to operationalize frameworks for data quality, lineage, and metadata management.
  • Support rollout of data platforms and products that enable network visibility, predictive analytics, and AI use cases.
  • Ensure alignment between data capabilities and digitally led process transformations (e.g., planning, manufacturing, quality, and logistics).
Performance & Value Realization
  • Define and track KPIs that measure deployment progress, capability maturity, and business impact.
  • Support value case development and benefit realization tracking for data and AI initiatives.
  • Continuously assess maturity gaps and recommend interventions to accelerate progress toward data strategy goals.
Experience: & Qualifications
  • Bachelor s or master s degree in engineering, life sciences, data science, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain within a biopharma or highly regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of data management, governance, analytics, and AI/ML deployment within manufacturing or operations.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills; able to bridge business, technical, and executive domains.
  • Skilled at leading organizational change and influencing without authority across global matrix environments.
  • Ability to translate complex data concepts into operational value and measurable outcomes.
  • Familiarity with GMP environments, regulatory data requirements, and digital technologies (MES, ERP, IoT, data lakes, AI platforms).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global, and matrixed environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities with a builder mentality
  • Knowledge of key operational and execution systems such as SAP, Veeva, LIMMS, Kinaxis, and more (domain specific)
