Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Social & Economic Research:

  • Conduct baseline surveys, field research, economic analysis and thematic studies on areas including, key development issues at the interface of climate resilience and energy transition, livelihood planning, gender and community empowerment.
  • Apply economic frameworks and models, to assess the socio-economic impact of climate policies, development programs, and transition pathways.

Knowledge & Data Curation:

  • Organize and maintain a repository of reports, case studies, datasets, and tools for easy access and reuse.
  • Develop economic datasets and dashboards to support decision-making.



Content Development & Visualisation:

  • Create knowledge products including policy briefs, white papers, cost-benefit analyses, SoPs and data visualizations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Translate complex datasets into accessible formats such as infographics, charts, and interactive visuals.

Data Analysis & Management:

  • Design research tools, manage surveys, and conduct both qualitative and quantitative data analysis using statistical software (SPSS, STATA, R, or Python preferred).
  • Develop actionable economic insights that feed into program strategies and advocacy.

Collaborative Learning & Documentation:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to document project learnings, case studies, and success stories with an economic and social lens.
  • Support economic evaluation of CEED’s projects and policy interventions.

Capacity Building & Strategy Support:

  • Assist in developing training modules, manuals, and frameworks on economic and social research for internal capacity building.
  • Provide economic perspectives to advocacy efforts, ensuring evidence-based engagement with policymakers, industry, and civil society.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Development Economics/Applied Economics/Economics, Development Studies, or related fields from premier institutions.
  • 2–3 years of experience in development research, economic analysis, or similar roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to work on both quantitative and qualitative datasets.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, STATA, R, or Python), MS Office, and visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate economic findings into accessible knowledge products.
  • Experience in development, economic policy, or climate-focused organizations is a strong plus.
  • Willing to travel/field visits in rural areas for research and program purpose
