Job Description

Role Overview

The Associate Dean IQAC will support the leadership of the IQAC in planning, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing institutional quality initiatives. The role involves strategic oversight of accreditation processes, national and international ranking exercises, quality audits, and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory bodies. The incumbent will play a key role in strengthening CGC Universitys visibility, quality benchmarks, and academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. IQAC Coordination & Quality Enhancement

  • Assist in formulating, implementing, and monitoring the University’s

    Quality Assurance Framework

    .
  • Coordinate

    academic and administrative audits

    , feedback systems, and quality benchmarking activities.
  • Prepare IQAC reports, including

    Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQARs)

    for submission to NAAC and other statutory bodies.
  • Ensure alignment of university practices with

    UGC, AICTE, NAAC, NBA, BCI, PCI, and other regulatory guidelines

    .
  • Drive continuous quality improvement through workshops, seminars, and training programs.

2. Accreditation & Compliance

  • Lead preparation, documentation, and submission of data for

    NAAC, NBA, NIRF, ARIIA, QS, THE Rankings

    , etc.
  • Monitor accreditation cycles, prepare compliance reports, and ensure timely submission of all required documentation.
  • Liaise with accreditation agencies, committees, and peer review teams during visits and evaluations.
  • Develop a robust data management and evidence collection system to support all accreditation and ranking processes.

3. Rankings & Institutional Benchmarking

  • Strategize and oversee

    NIRF ranking exercises

    and improve university performance across parameters.
  • Track global and national ranking frameworks (

    QS, THE, Times Ranking, Scimago, IIRF

    ) and prepare submissions.
  • Conduct institutional benchmarking studies against leading universities.
  • Develop initiatives to strengthen research visibility, citations, patents, and international collaborations.

4. Data Analytics, Reporting & Documentation

  • Establish and maintain a

    centralized data repository

    for accreditation, ranking, and quality purposes.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and validity of institutional data.
  • Generate reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership decision-making.
  • Provide periodic updates to management on progress, gaps, and improvements.

5. Stakeholder Engagement & Capacity Building

  • Work closely with Deans, HoDs, Faculty, and Administrative units for accreditation-related data collection.
  • Conduct training sessions/workshops on

    quality assurance, documentation, and outcome-based education (OBE)

    .
  • Promote a

    culture of quality and excellence

    across the university.
  • Facilitate student, alumni, and industry feedback processes for continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • PhD / Master’s degree

     from a recognized university.
  • Minimum

    15 years of academic/administrative experience

    in higher education institutions with at least

    3–5 years in Quality Assurance, Accreditation, or Institutional Research

    .
  • Strong knowledge of

    NAAC/NBA accreditation processes, NIRF, and global ranking frameworks

    .
  • Proven experience in handling large-scale data management, audits, and compliance documentation.
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in

    data analysis tools, MIS, and ERP systems

    will be an added advantage.
