Job Description

Role Overview: As an Associate Analyst in Financial Planning & Analysis at our company, you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of management reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and customer planning. Your responsibilities will involve analyzing variances against budget, forecasts, and prior year actuals, providing insightful commentary to senior management, developing annual plans and budgets, and updating financial reporting packages to support business metrics and KPIs. You will also be involved in executing financial process improvements, investigating automation opportunities, and assisting in special projects as needed. Key Responsibilities: - Support the financial close process by analyzing variances against budget, forecasts, and prior year actuals - Provide thoughtful business-driven commentary to senior management - Assist in the development of annual plans/budgets and forecasts - Manage and update standardized financial reporting packages and support business metrics/KPIs - Review revenue and expense risks and opportunities, and respond to ad-hoc requests for information and analysis - Drive financial process improvements through analysis and modeling - Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency enhancements - Assist other finance business partners - Support special projects as they arise Qualifications Required: - Educational qualification: Chartered Accountant/CPA/CFA/ACCA or MBA in Finance - Good knowledge of financial planning and management phases - Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools and financial systems (e.g. Hyperion and Oracle) - Understanding of reporting, forecasting, and budgeting techniques - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Self-motivated with a proven track record of success in a team environment - Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with accuracy - Capacity to manage multiple activities in a condensed timeframe - Excellent communication and presentation skills - Strong strategic thinking and business acumen - Good relationship management and networking skills - Ambitious, highly driven, and motivated (Note: Omitted Corporate Security Responsibility section as it does not directly pertain to the job description),
