Job Description – Associate (Debt Capital Markets & Government Advisory)

Position: Assistant Vice President/Associate Vice President Location: Delhi NCR

Reporting To: Director – Debt Capital Markets

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Associate to join our Debt Capital Markets & Government Advisory team. The candidate is expected to play a key role in identifying and executing opportunities for Advisory in raising of funds for State and Central Government Undertakings (with or without government guarantees), Municipal Bonds, including PF & Pension Fund advisory space across investor categories.

The role demands strong analytical capability, excellent presentation and communication skills and a keen ability to sense new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

· Fund Raising for Government Undertakings

o Assist in structuring and executing fund-raising transactions for State PSUs, Municipal Corporations and Central Government undertakings.

o Continuously track government borrowing programs, policy developments, and debt market trends to sense emerging opportunities.

o Liaise with government agencies, Rating agencies, institutions and regulatory bodies to facilitate approvals and execution.

o Support in preparing IMs, financial models, pitch books and proposals for fund raising.

· Business Development & Advisory

o Working on advisory mandates for PF/Pension Funds, advising on deployment of funds as per the regulatory guidelines including guidance on asset allocation, regulatory compliance and investment strategies.

o Develop and maintain relationships with Provident Funds, Pension Funds, Insurance Companies, and other institutional investors.

o Assist in maintaining investor databases and tracking market trends

o Identify placement opportunities and support execution of bond issuances in line with investor appetite.

o Prepare and deliver impactful presentations to clients, investors and internal stakeholders.

· Collaboration & Execution

o Work closely with senior team members in transaction structuring, documentation, and negotiations.

o Coordinate with legal, compliance, and rating agencies as part of transaction execution.

o Support research, sectoral analysis, and preparation of client-ready reports.

· Strong understanding of fixed income markets, debt instruments, and government securities.

· Ability to prepare and deliver high-quality presentations (Pitch decks, IMs, Strategy papers).

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling skills.

· Team player with a proactive attitude and high attention to detail.

Qualifications & Experience

· Postgraduate in Finance / MBA / CA / CFA (preferred).

· More than 5 years of relevant experience in Debt Capital Markets, Treasury or Government Advisory.

· Exposure to Government Borrowing Programs, Institutional Investor Coverage or Bond Placements will be an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
