Assistant Store Manager

As a Store/Warehouse Manager within the manufacturing unit, your role involves overseeing and managing all store/warehouse operations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels of raw materials, consumables, spare parts, packaging materials, and finished goods. Your key responsibilities include: - Developing and implementing efficient material handling, storage, and issuing processes. - Ensuring timely receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming materials as per purchase orders. - Coordinating with procurement, production, quality, and maintenance teams for material requirements. - Monitoring and controlling slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete stock; initiating disposal or return processes. - Maintaining systematic stock records through ERP, SAP, or other inventory management systems. - Conducting regular stock audits, cycle counts, and reconciling discrepancies. - Ensuring compliance with safety, 5S, and environmental standards within the store area. - Optimizing space utilization and material flow for smooth manufacturing operations. - Managing inward/outward logistics, loading/unloading, and transport coordination. - Preparing monthly inventory reports and sharing key metrics with management. - Implementing FIFO/LIFO/FEFO inventory control methods as applicable. - Training and supervising store staff, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance. - Safeguarding materials from theft, damage, or deterioration through proper security measures. - Coordinating with finance for GRN (Goods Receipt Note) posting, material cost updates, and stock valuation. - Supporting internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
