Required Skills and Qualifications: B.tech Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Key Responsibilities: Documentation Preparation: Required Skills and Qualifications: Education: A degree in business, international trade, logistics, or a related field is preferred. Experience: Previous experience in import/export documentation or logistics is highly advantageous. Technical Skills: Proficiency in using documentation management systems and software (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Office). Knowledge: Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and shipping practices. Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure high levels of accuracy in documentation preparation and processing. Communication: Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Working Conditions: Full-time position. Office-based role with occasional travel for supplier or freight forwarder meetings. May require working outside regular hours during peak shipping seasons. Prepare and process all necessary documents for importing and exporting goods, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and customs declarations. Ensure accuracy and compliance with international trade regulations and shipping policies. Customs Clearance: Coordinate with customs authorities and freight forwarders to ensure the timely clearance of goods. Review and submit customs documentation to ensure compliance with all applicable customs laws and regulations. Shipping Coordination: Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping agents, and carriers to arrange the transportation of goods. Track shipments and ensure that all required documents are submitted for timely customs clearance and delivery. Compliance and Regulatory Monitoring: Stay updated on changes in import/export regulations, tariffs, and other trade-related laws. Ensure that all imports and exports are carried out in accordance with local and international laws. Communication and Coordination: Act as a point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders (suppliers, customers, customs agents, etc.) regarding shipping and documentation issues. Handle inquiries and resolve issues related to import/export documentation. Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and organized records of all import/export transactions, including invoices, shipping documents, and customs forms. Ensure that records are kept in compliance with company policy and relevant regulations. Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in shipments or documents, and collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs authorities to address and rectify issues. Cost Management: Monitor and track shipping costs, ensuring that they are in line with budgetary expectations and seeking ways to optimize shipping processes and expenses.
