Key ResponsibilitiesStore OperationsAssist in managing day-to-day store functions, including opening and closing procedures. Oversee product stocking, merchandising, rotation, and inventory accuracy. Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and store cleanliness standards. Monitor equipment, schedule maintenance, and ensure operational efficiency. Resolve customer issues and ensure prompt, friendly assistance. Maintain an inviting store environment and address service trends or concerns. Support scheduling, labor management, and task assignments. Provide coaching, performance evaluations, and corrective action when needed. Promote teamwork and foster a positive workplace culture. Sales & Financial PerformanceAssist in achieving sales, margin, shrink, and labor targets. Monitor daily/weekly sales reports and identify opportunities for improvement. Support promotional execution, pricing accuracy, and merchandising plans. Compliance & SafetyEnsure compliance with company policies, local/state/federal regulations, and health & safety guidelines. Conduct safety audits, training, and incident documentation. Enforce loss-prevention procedures to reduce shrink and maintain store security. QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. 2+ years of retail or grocery experience; supervisory experience strongly preferred. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Proficiency with POS systems, inventory management, and basic computer applications. Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, lift up to 40–50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks. Comfortable working in varied temperature environments (coolers, freezers, etc.).
