ASSISTANT SOURCING MANAGER

As an Assistant Sourcing Manager in the Knits Department, your role will involve identifying and evaluating suppliers based on specific needs, production capabilities, quality standards, cost, and ethical standards. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term partnerships. Additionally, your responsibilities will include product and vendor development, ensuring compliance of all sourcing activities with regulations, company norms, and ethical standards. Key Responsibilities: - Identify and evaluate suppliers based on specific criteria - Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers - Develop products and vendors - Ensure compliance with regulations, company norms, and ethical standards - Work closely with suppliers to monitor production timelines and address any delays - Collaborate with design and technical teams to meet design and quality requirements - Generate accurate reports and monitor purchase order processes - Resolve any vendor issues to ensure efficient production and timely deliveries - Travel may be required depending on the location of suppliers Qualifications Required: - About 10 years of experience in sourcing & merchandising, with a minimum of 3-4 years in knits/outerwear sourcing - Strong negotiation and communication skills - Analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills - Attention to detail and proficiency in Excel - Knowledge of apparel production processes - Proficiency in English and Hindi Please note that this is a full-time position with benefits including Provident Fund.
