Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will progress with faculty rank, reflecting increasing levels of leadership, research contribution, and strategic influence.
- Transformative Teaching & Curriculum Development:
- Deliver engaging and relevant instruction across fundamental and advanced areas of Computer Science and Information Technology.
- Design and implement modern curricula that integrate the latest advancements in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Software Engineering, and Emerging Technologies.
- Utilize innovative pedagogical approaches, including project-based learning, hands-on lab work, and real-world case studies, to cultivate strong analytical and practical problem-solving skills.
- High-Impact Research & Scholarship:
- Conduct original and rigorous research that contributes significantly to the field of Computer Science and IT, addressing contemporary challenges and exploring future directions.
- Publish consistently in reputable national and international peer-reviewed journals and present findings at leading conferences.
- (For Associate/Professor) Lead and mentor junior faculty and students in research initiatives, fostering a vibrant research ecosystem and securing external grants.
- Industry & Professional Engagement:
- Build and maintain robust collaborations with technology companies, IT startups, and digital innovators to ensure curriculum relevance and create experiential learning opportunities for students.
- Bridge academic knowledge with practical industry applications, facilitating internships, joint projects, and knowledge exchange.
- Academic Mentorship & Institutional Contribution:
- Provide dedicated mentorship and guidance to students, supporting their academic growth, technical skill development, and career aspirations.
- (For Associate/Professor) Provide strong mentorship to junior faculty, nurturing their teaching and research capabilities.
- Actively participate in departmental, institutional, and professional service, contributing to strategic planning, program accreditation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Eligibility & Qualifications
For Assistant Professor:
- Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline from a recognized university (candidates submitting thesis are also encouraged to apply). Master's Degree in a relevant computing field from a recognized institution with strong academic standing.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in teaching or academic research within Computer Science and Information Technology.
- Research: Demonstrated potential for conducting and publishing high-quality, impactful research.
For Associate Professor:
- Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a relevant specialization from a recognized university. Master's Degree in a relevant computing field from a recognized university.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of full-time teaching/research experience as an Assistant Professor in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Research: A strong and consistent record of high-quality research publications in peer-reviewed journals, indicating a growing research profile.
For Professor:
- Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline from a globally recognized institution. Master's Degree in a relevant computing field from a recognized university.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive teaching, research, and leadership experience as an Associate Professor in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Research: An outstanding and sustained research profile with significant publications in highly reputable international journals, and proven leadership in academic program development and research supervision (including doctoral candidates).
Skills & Attributes
- Advanced Technical Proficiency: Expertise in modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++), data structures, algorithms, and software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps). Familiarity with current tools and platforms in AI/ML (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), Data Science (e.g., R, SQL, cloud data platforms), Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and emerging technologies (e.g., Blockchain, IoT).
- Innovative Pedagogy: Proven ability to design and deliver engaging, student-centric learning experiences that integrate theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on applications.
- Research & Problem-Solving Acumen: A strong commitment to original, impactful research, coupled with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex computing challenges.
- Interdisciplinary Vision: Ability to foster cross-disciplinary collaborations and connect computing concepts with diverse application domains.
