About the Role

Production Manager

Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Execution

• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
• Ensure timely completion of orders as per dispatch requirements.
• Monitor workflow across pressing, machining, moulding, assembly, and painting sections.

2. Machine Operations & Maintenance

Expert knowledge in:

• Calibration / Wide Belt Sander

• Hot Press & Cold Press

• Edgebander

• 6-Spindle Moulder

• Beam Saw / Panel Saw

  (if available)
• Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance with the maintenance team.

3. PU Painting & Finishing Supervision

• Oversee PU basecoat, sanding, sealing, and topcoat processes.
• Ensure finish quality, shade consistency, and zero defects.
• Maintain SOPs for paint booth hygiene, curing cycles, and material usage.

4. Quality Assurance

• Conduct inspections at all stages: pressing, sizing, moulding, assembly & painting.
• Maintain dimensional accuracy and finishing standards.
• Reduce rejection and rework by improving process adherence.

5. Team Leadership

• Manage supervisors, machine operators, and helpers.
• Conduct skill development, safety training, and performance monitoring.
• Maintain discipline and ensure shift productivity.

6. Process Improvement

• Improve yield and reduce wastage of boards, timber, adhesives & paints.
• Implement lean concepts for workflow optimisation.
• Standardise processes for consistent quality output.

7. Material Coordination

• Coordinate with stores for raw materials, hardware, adhesives, and paint availability.
• Work closely with QC, design, and procurement teams.

Candidate RequirementsMust-Haves

• Minimum 5 years

  experience in doors or modular furniture manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with major

  woodworking machines

  including calibration, press machines, edge bander, and spindle moulder.
• Strong expertise in

  PU painting and finishing

  .
• Experience managing a team in a production environment.
• Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience specifically in pre-hung doors or modular industry
