Assistant Product Manager

Job Description

Key Responsibilities : To ensure execution of annual product launch plans to meet the categories and P&L objectives. Capable of managing cross-functional teams and third parties / agencies to meet timelines. Work closely with the consumer feedback team to ensure quick redressal of the quality issues of the product. Ideate and execute product design and packaging as per the market requirement. Draft Product specifications & USP. Track the contribution margin to meet the benchmark of the respective categories. Identify potential products as per product gaps (compared to competition) Stay connected with the sales team to assess product performance. Identify and analyse market trends, opportunities- threats, and track competition. Gather insights from various internal and external sources through the lens of the customer, consumer, retailer, etc. Willing to travel across the country and closely work with the sales team to meet market requirements, gather market insights, and address product-related issues. Reports to be submitted : Market visit report with quantitative and qualitative data. Cumulative performance sheet for pencils and erasers- quarterly (5th of the month). Cumulative performance sheet for outsourced products- by the 10th of every month. Product mapping (annual) NPD performance report- monthly for first 6 months.
