Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Attending cases / proceedings pending before the State Regulatory Commission, Ld. Electricity Ombudsman, Consumer Forum, Grievance Redressal Officer (GRO) / Central Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRO)
-Attending proceedings, Complaints, Applications, Writ Petitions, Appeals and Suits pending before different High Courts, Civil Courts, Special Court of Electricity, NCLT, APTEL, Lok Adalat, Arbitration with specialization in IBC proceedings etc.
Initiating, drafting, vetting legal communications and scrutiny of various Letters, Legal Notices, Applications, Petitions, Contracts, Agreements, Deeds, LOIs, LOAs, Bank Guarantees & Documents.
Maintain case-wise summary sheet and update the status for all litigation / arbitration cases.
Working closely with external law firms, Barristers, Sr. Counsels and Advocates for briefing of new cases and consultation of existing cases.
Scrutiny / Assessment of bills / professional charges / reimbursement of expenses raised in connection with litigations filed by / against the company and other legal services.
Maintain record of all litigation / arbitration related matters along with notices and replies.
Participate in Corporate Seminars and conferences to represent the organization and remain updated with latest development in the power sector.

Preferred candidate profile

Litigation management, Legal risk mitigation and minimization of financial / legal implications in regular / long term operation of the power business.
Maximization of revenue through utilizing adequate legal provisions.
