Assistant Manager - Techno Commercial (Stores)

Purpose/Objective

The Stores Team Member is responsible for executing and managing daily store operations within assigned material categories. This role ensures accurate inventory control, effective material receipt, storage, and distribution, and the timely liquidation or disposal of scrap and non-moving inventory. This role also supports compliance with established guidelines, risk management, and contributes to continuous improvement in stores practices.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Timely processing for GRN & Invoices of quality cleared material. •Issue Posting in SAP as per actual issued material on day to day basis to various departments & agencies. •To maintained proper housekeeping of warehouse & Open yards and Proper binning of material in stores as per the Preservation & storage manual •Optimum utilization of the warehouse space. •Contributory for new ideas of 5-S related activities and cost saving initiatives. •Timely dispatched of Rejected material & Continuous follow up in case of Advance payment rejected item. •To maintain cordial professional relationship with internal and external customers. •To ensure and encourage healthy competitiveness among the team members. •Recognition & prevention of unsafe acts and unsafe conditions. •Adherence to PPE's as per work requirements - Self and team. •To strictly adhere to points mentioned in JSA, at applicable areas. Liquidation and Disposal (Scrap or Write-Off) Of NMI & Surplus Inventory: Lead the process of identification and liquidation of non-moving inventory (NMI) Carry out liquidation of assets (identified by concerned user) and other material including NMIs to be scrapped and ensure optimal price through Scrap management committee discussions Arrange approval of asset-scrapping or asset write-off as required; Oversee implementation of asset scrapping or asset write-off basis DoA

Technical Competencies

Qualifications and Experience

Graduation in Material Management / Any other Graduation Minimum 5 years of experience in Material Management / Stores Management
