Roles and Responsibilities

11 Responsibilities :
(Responsibility is an obligation of individual to perform assigned duties to the best of his ability under the direction of his executive leader) 1 Support concept design, feasibility analysis, and product planning 2 Coordinate design development using tools (CREO ,CATIA etc.) 3 Ensure compliance with customer specifications, DFMEA, DVP&R 4 Participate in design reviews, gate reviews, and technical discussions 5 Assist in NPD project planning, scheduling, and tracking milestones 6 Support change management (ECN/ECR) during development 7 Quality & Validation - IATF 16949,APQP, PPAP,FMEA (DFMEA / PFMEA) 8 Manufacturing & Process Development - Coordinate with production for tooling, fixtures, and pilot runs 9 Manufacturing & Process Development - Assist in line trials, SOP readiness, and ramp-up activities 10 Strong understanding of automotive product development lifecycle 11 Support root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D, 5-Why) 12 Coordinate product testing and validation: -Durability & reliability tests 12 Accountability : (Accountability is the answerability for performance of the assigned duties) 1 Timely Execution of NPD Projects -Ensuring assigned NPD projects and milestones are completed as per approved timelines and project plans. 2 Design & Development Deliverables -Accuracy, completeness, and on-time release of design outputs such as drawings, BOMs, DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation plans. 3 Compliance to Automotive Standards -Adherence to customer-specific requirements, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, and applicable regulatory norms. 4 Cost & Feasibility Commitments-Supporting achievement of target cost, feasibility validation, and design-to-cost objectives. 13 Authority : (Authority is the right or power assigned to an executive or a manager in order to achieve certain organizational objectives.) 1 Coordinate Cross-Functional Activities -Lead and coordinate cross-functional discussions for assigned NPD projects. 2 Approve Technical Inputs (Within Defined Limits) -Review and approve design inputs, specifications, and technical documents as per delegated authority matrix. 3 Initiate Engineering Changes -Raise Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and recommend Engineering Change Notices (ECNs). 4 Communicate with Customers -Act as a technical point of contact with customers for assigned projects, within defined communication protocols.
