Ivy Homes is a technology startup building products that transform the way people sell flats in urban India. We use technology and data science to build an information ecosystem that powers smooth buying and selling of homes. We launched at the end of 2021 in Bangalore, and have since redefined the way people transact on homes there.
We’re launching operations in Mumbai in the short term. We are building a team of young turks to set the city up for brilliant growth.
We build with equal parts product, technology, data science, and on ground hustle. We like to work fast to experiment and bring beautiful solutions to market. Our core team comprises IIT Kharagpur and IIT Kanpur alumni, who’re well versed with business and bring solid collective technology and business expertise alike on board. We’re backed by marquee Venture Capitalists of the likes of Y-Combinator, Khosla Ventures, Global Founders Capital and Venture Highway.
You’re a hustler with a sales mindset at heart, and very high levels of business ownership. Whether it is working with uncertainty, daunting targets or different kinds of people, you thrive in discovery and learning to succeed. You have significant real estate sales experience in Mumbai.
You’ll initially be working to buy homes to build inventory for you to sell in the city, with our Business Development team. As inventory builds and is live for sale, you will specialize in selling inventory our Business Development team brings on board. You’ll be comfortable hunting, farming and nurturing Channel relationships.
You’ll be comfortable speaking with both internal and external stakeholders. You’ll routinely be negotiating for favorable business outcomes, and will become a master at understanding human behavior, emotion, setting and meeting expectations, both internally and externally. You’ll build an incredible skillset, positioning you perfectly to grow to be a business owner as you progress in your career.
In all honesty, you’re someone who can do everything. Be it picking up the phone to call customers, onboarding and evaluating vendors, hunting to onboard fresh Channel Partners, handling leads and purchase closures, running negotiations to close transactions, explaining legal nuances to customers - you will be able to drive it all with aplomb.
You’re someone who will be invested in the success of the business as a city, and will invest overall in doing exactly what it takes to get things there in the short term. You won’t have a permanent definition of ‘what you do’ right at the very beginning, but will thrive in the varied nature of expectations from you. You’ll have one simple goal - quantifiable progress in driving scalability of the city business via sales. You’ll work with that North Star.
