Job Description

Assistant Manager, Record to Report (R2R)


We're looking for a sharp and proactive Assistant Manager, Record to Report (R2R) to join our finance team. In this role, you'll be key in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and supporting a range of accounting functions. You'll need a strong eye for detail and the ability to work effectively with various teams to ensure our financial processes run smoothly.


Key Responsibilities


  • General Ledger Management:

    Ensure accurate booking and department tagging of all purchase orders (POs), strictly adhering to company policies.
  • Journal Entries:

    Perform timely and precise posting of all journal entries.
  • Accruals and Provisions:

    Assist with the correct posting of accruals and support month-on-month provisions and their reversals. This includes managing vendor accruals related to new Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) entities.
  • Account Reconciliation:

    Conduct weekly scrutiny of GL accounts, with a special focus on Accounts Payable (AP) bookings, to quickly identify and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prepaid and Fixed Assets:

    Manage and reconcile prepaid accounts, and assist with fixed asset accounting, including tracking, depreciation, and disposals.
  • Financial Analysis:

    Support variance analysis and contribute to the month-end close commentary by providing insightful commentary.
  • Audit Support:

    Assist with both internal and external audit requirements.
  • Process Improvement:

    Identify and lead initiatives to automate and streamline routine financial processes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Partner effectively with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Revenue Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Collections, to ensure seamless financial operations.


Qualifications

  • Experience:

    5 to 8 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with a strong background in Record to Report (R2R) processes.
  • Education:

    CA Intermediate or Bachelors degree in commerce.
  • Technical Skills:

    Proven hands-on experience with R2R processes, including journal entry posting, accrual management, and prepaid and fixed asset accounting. Familiarity with financial operations and accounting systems like

    NetSuite

    is highly desirable.
  • Core Competencies:

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must, along with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preferred:

    Prior experience assisting with internal or external audits.
