Assistant Manager - Quality Assurance

We are hiring for Assistant / Deputy Manager –Quality Assurance / Quality Control

Location – Penukonda, Anantapur District

Industry: Injection Molding – Plastic Components

Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Polymer / Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).

Experience: 10 to 12 years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control in the Plastic Injection Molding industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Management System (QMS):

• Maintain and enhance the company’s Quality Management System (ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / ISO 14001).
• Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and follow-up on audit observations.

2. In-Process & Final Quality Control:

• Monitor and control in-process inspection for molded parts to ensure product conformity.
• Establish inspection standards, work instructions, and control plans.
• Conduct final inspection and ensure 100% compliance before dispatch.

3. Supplier Quality Assurance:

• Evaluate, approve, and audit suppliers for raw materials, packaging materials, and sub-components.
• Address supplier-related quality issues and drive improvements using structured problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).

4. Customer Quality Management:

• Handle customer complaints, coordinate root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions.
• Maintain customer communication and ensure timely submission of PPAP, APQP, and other documentation.
• Participate in customer audits and visits, ensuring customer satisfaction and zero PPM targets.

5. New Product Development Support:

• Work closely with NPD, Production, and Tool Room teams for new mold trials and validation.
• Review and approve first article inspection reports (FAIR) and PPAP documentation.
• Validate part dimensions, appearance, and functional tests as per customer requirements.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Injection Molding Processes and Plastic Material Behavior.
• Hands-on experience in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and 8D methodology.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 standards.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in measurement instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Profile Projector, CMM).
• Leadership ability with a focus on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
