Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for the overall Packaging Function, covering end-to-end NPD, Strategic Sourcing, Packaging Innovations, Cost-cutting projects, Vendor Negotiation, and Facilitation of Packaging setup and processes. Key Responsibilities: - Drive end-to-end NPD projects, including timeline planning, benchmarking, prototype development, compatibility studies, artwork management, standardization of shade cards, printing, trouble shoot management, commercial closure, and preparation of necessary documents. - Harmonize packaging and implement cost-saving measures across the range. - Lead the development, testing, and analysis of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging materials. - Manage packaging and process changes within expected timelines. - Derive packaging configurations and create prototypes. - Source vendors, develop alternate vendors for cost-cutting projects, and negotiate with vendors. - Identify third-party vendors for validation of technical specifications and claims. - Support the brand team and coordinate with internal functions for timely packaging development. - Coordinate with R&D for prototype development, compatibility studies, and production trials. - Identify new technologies in the packaging industry and contribute to format development. Qualifications Required: - Postgraduate/Masters in Packaging Technology. - Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience. - Experience in the FMCG industry, preferably in bottles, mono cartons, and hair care packaging. - Proficiency in handling end-to-end packaging NPD projects independently. - Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously in the personal grooming industry. - Hands-on experience in developing various packaging formats, components, and SKUs. - Knowledge of statutory requirements in packaging development relevant to the FMCG industry. - Sound knowledge of MS Excel & PowerPoint. - Experience with packaging artwork management and 3D prototype development software. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Personal traits: Creativity, Promptness, solution orientation, clear-headedness, willingness to travel. - Functional competencies: Handling technical aspects of packaging units per SKU, awareness of statutory regulations, process-oriented. - Behavioral competencies: Good technical and analytical skills, high integrity, ability to withstand pressure.,
