Position Summary

The Protection Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical transmission substation. This role involves study the approved design, implement, and maintain protection schemes to safeguard the electrical infrastructure against faults and failures.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

• Study, analyse and implement approved protection schemes. Investigate and analyse system faults and disturbances. Investigate and analyse system faults and disturbances

• Analyse and interpret data from electrical systems to identify potential issues and implement solutions.

• Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of protection equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Coordinate with engineering team, utilities, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
