Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Manager General Services

Department: HR & Administration

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Manager General Services with 6 8 years of expertise in managing plant-level administration, employee welfare, industrial relations, and statutory compliance. The role requires strong people management skills, effective coordination with vendors, and the ability to maintain a positive work environment while ensuring smooth functioning of general services across the plant.

Key Responsibilities

Industrial Relations & Employee Engagement

  • Handle labour union matters effectively and maintain a cordial relationship with

workers.

  • Address IR-related queries and provide necessary assistance to management.
  • Ensure strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution capabilities.
  • Drive employee welfare initiatives including distribution of uniforms, safety shoes,

festival gifts, etc.

  • Organising Employee Engagement activities in the Factory.

Workforce Management

  • Manage leave administration and daily attendance tracking for plant employees.
  • Oversee manpower recruitment for contract labour and apprentices.
  • Deliver timely salary inputs (including LOP) and ensure payslip distribution to workers.
  • Prepare and submit monthly headcount MIS to Head Office.

General Administration & Facilities

  • Oversee canteen operations, transportation arrangements, housekeeping, and garden

maintenance.

  • Monitor employee health and safety measures in alignment with company standards.
  • Implement CSR activities as per management directives.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely supply of admin-related materials.
  • Managing Scrap Removal Management as per SOP.

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain statutory registers and ensure adherence to legal requirements.
  • Participate actively in continuous improvement activities and support cost-effective

solutions.

  • Maintain documents related to Group audit as well as Customer audits.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, IR practices, and statutory compliance.
  • Proven experience in handling labour unions and plant-level workforce.
  • Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, vendors, and facilities operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and exposure to HR systems (attendance/leave management).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in HR, Industrial Relations, or related field.
  • 6 8 years of experience in General Services / Plant Administration.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/plant setup preferred
