Assistant Manager-Lean Manufacturing

Job Description

Responsibilities / Tasks Lean Develop production system by lean concept and plan transformation for efficiency improvement. Be engaged in transformation projects, leading kaizen events driving rapid experimentation and applying the scientific method, and daily continuous improvement. Coach process design approach, problem solving techniques, and work to share improvements horizontally across the process. Cyclic work will include Op Ex auditing processes and systems to sustain and continually improve upon performance Work with senior management to plan and execute kaizen workshops including training and application of specific lean tools. Participate in team meetings and lead candid discussion in the application of the following and be the hands-on site expert on lean modules. Responsible for providing communication both up and down on plans and progress of lean implementation efforts in site. Coordinate lean efforts across management through regular interaction with other function managers, and the sharing of "Best Practice" method and ideas. Dotted line report to Global Op Ex Management and coordinate the lean activity in Bangalore across all BU’s - India region. Digitization & Automation- Responsible to define the Capex/Op ex budgets required for digitization & automation projects in alignment with the Management team for India(Bangalore & Vadodara site) Responsible for defining the digitization work flows in alignment with Production & supply chain leadership based on Mid & Longterm development targets for Site. Responsible for defining the cost savings measures impacting the bottom line of P&L of the respective legal entity & follow up with the respective stakeholders. Provide updates /MIS to the management team in Bangalore India & to the Global management team. Strategic Project Management Project Management for Strategic footprint projects including consolidation of production sites, expansion of existing production areas, shifting of products from HCC (High cost countries) Preparing detailed time schedules for Projects and leading, coordinating with relevant Value streams Managers / teams for timely execution and completion of within the budget. Providing regular updates / MIS to the Senior Management & steering board.
