Role Overview: As an Assistant Manager Housekeeping at The Westin Gurgaon New Delhi, your primary focus will be to support the day-to-day activities in Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club, and Laundry operations. You will collaborate with employees to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of guestrooms and public spaces. Your role will involve conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, managing budgets efficiently, and prioritizing guest and employee satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations are up to date. - Oversee all lost and found procedures. - Coordinate room cleaning assignments promptly and effectively. - Manage stock inventory to maintain an adequate supply of cleaning materials. - Communicate guest room status promptly to the Front Desk. - Collaborate with the Engineering department for guest room maintenance needs. - Implement and comply with loss prevention policies. - Provide employees with necessary supplies, equipment, and uniforms. - Supervise an effective inspection program for guestrooms and public spaces. - Manage linen inventory and guest supplies, and assist in supply ordering. - Supervise Housekeeping and related areas in the absence of the Director of Services or Housekeeping Manager. - Provide feedback to employees on service behaviors and strive for continuous improvement. - Handle guest problems and complaints, seeking assistance from supervisors when needed. - Review comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees. - Set a positive example for guest relations. Qualifications Required: - High school diploma or GED; 1 year experience in housekeeping or a related professional area. OR - 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major; no work experience required.
