Assistant Manager: Governance and Assurance

Purpose of the role

The Purpose of this role is to ensure: effective governance and compliance of group level policies and standards related to risk and compliance across all the supplier partners engage and liase with key stakeholders and operational leads

To assist management in the identification of strategic, tactical, and operational business risks

To provide objective assessment of the effectiveness of IT controls over identified risks

To provide advice and share best industry good practices in support of business objectives.

Context of the Role

Reports to Outsource Risk Transformation Lead

Has bandwidth and competencies to independently manage business assurance checks and audits.

Multi-tasking, effective and quality service delivery

Helps the manager to take decisions regarding the priorities and scope of agreed work within allocated business areas.

Qualifications Preferred

Bachelor of Engineering (CS/IT/EC) with IT Audit Experience

Chartered Accountant

Experience

Two to three years relevant business experience with IT Audit experience

Working knowledge of Application, IT, Cyber & Digitization risk identification and mitigation

Evidence of proven career track record and consistent record of achievement

Skills and Knowledge

IT Control Assurance and Testing

Strong knowledge of IT Security Frameworks (like ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR)/Standards & good practices (including Cloud Security)

High level technical knowledge of risk management and audit techniques.

Strong understanding of IT Governance Frameworks & regulatory requirements

Requires Critical thinking to evaluate scenarios and making objective decisions.

Relationship building skills.

Persuasive and articulate, able to influence, negotiate and manage conflict at a senior level.

Strong IT & report writing skills.

Self-motivated and driven to achieve excellence with strong intellect
