Job Sum y:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Assistant Manager Direct Tax & Litigation to join our growing team at SBC
The ideal candi should possess 3 to 8 years of post qualification experience in Direct Taxation and Core Litigation, de strating strong technical expertise, analytical skills, and leadership capabilities The role involves managing complex tax matters, handling assessments and appeals, and supporting clients with high quality advisory and compliance services

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all aspects of Direct Tax compliance, advisory, and litigation for corporate and individual clients

Represent clients before tax authorities, handle assessments, appeals, and other legal proceedings eAiciently

Review and finalize tax computations, returns, and related documentation in accordance with applicable laws
Provide strategic tax advisory on corporate restructuring, transactions, and other business isions

Draft and review submissions, appeals, and legal documents for tax litigation matters

Stay up on amendments in income tax laws, judicial rulings, and CBDT notifications to ensure accurate guidance

Lead and mentor ior team members, including article trainees, to ensure timely delivery and quality work

Collaborate with internal teams and clients to identify risk areas and suggest eAective tax planning solutions

Assist management in building client relationships and exploring business development opportunities in the Direct Tax domain

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong technical knowledge in Direct Tax laws, compliance, and litigation

Proven experience in drafting replies, appeals, and handling tax assessments

Excellent understanding of Indian Income Tax Act, judicial precedents, and regulatory frameworks

EAective communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and work under pressure

Leadership qualities with a focus on mentoring and team development
