Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager - Desk Operations

The Desk Operator is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the 4300 MW Thermal Power Plant from the control room at JSW Energy, Ratnagiri. The role involves continuous monitoring of critical plant parameters, maintaining operational stability as per design standards, and supporting achievement of station performance targets such as APC, Heat Rate, PLF, and Availability.

Key responsibilities include handling start-up, shutdown, and equipment operation as per SOPs, coordinating with field engineers during normal and emergency operations, ensuring adherence to PTW and isolation procedures, and raising SAP notifications for abnormalities. The Desk Operator must maintain accurate logs, update ISO/IMS records, participate in audits, assist in incident analysis and RCFA preparation, and support commissioning activities during outages and shutdowns. Responsibilities also include operation of auxiliary systems such as RO Plant, HCSD, and HVAC from the control room, along with active participation in safety compliance, MySetu portal updates, and monthly housekeeping audits.
