Assistant Manager C&I - Copper Tube

Purpose/Objective

The Section Incharge will be responsible for overseeing and managing the operations related to the copper industry at the Mundra location. They will be expected to utilize their extensive industry experience to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the section while upholding Adani's core values of integrity, commitment, and innovation. The role presents an opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to Adani's continued success and growth within the copper industry.

Key Responsibilities of Role

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the copper section, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and production targets - Lead and manage a team of professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and motivation - Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize production processes, minimize downtime, and enhance overall efficiency - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical issues, implement process improvements, and drive continuous innovation - Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and corrective actions - Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards - Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure the reliability and availability of equipment and machinery - Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process, controlling costs and optimizing resource allocation - Communicate effectively with senior management, providing updates on operational performance, challenges, and opportunities - Champion a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the section

Technical Competencies

Proficiency in copper smelting and refining processes,In-depth knowledge of metallurgical operations and process optimization,Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements,Advanced understanding of maintenance practices and reliability engineering

Qualifications and Experience

Education Qualification: - Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field - Master's degree in a relevant discipline (preferred) Certification required: - Valid certification in industrial safety and risk management - Certification in lean manufacturing or six sigma (preferred) Experience: - 8-13 years of experience in the copper industry - Prior experience in a managerial or supervisory role - Demonstrated track record of successfully leading teams and driving operational excellence
