Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
This role in Assembly is responsible for overseeing the daily operations within the manufacturing assembly process, ensuring that targets are met while adhering to quality and safety standards. Key responsibilities include:
  • Execution of production as per daily plans and targets, striving for optimal efficiency in all operations.
  • Monitoring and controlling quality parameters as per the established targets to ensure the final product meets industry and customer standards.
  • Establishing and enforcing safety norms and parameters to create a secure working environment for all personnel.
  • Generating and implementing cost-saving ideas while driving new product development initiatives that enhance overall manufacturing capabilities.
  • Planning and managing manpower effectively, including training and development programs to ensure all team members are equipped with necessary skills.
  • Implementing mistake-proofing processes, such as Poka Yoke, to reduce errors and improve production quality.
  • Managing line rejection rates and ensuring they remain within target levels to uphold productivity and quality.
  • Driving lean implementation initiatives to streamline processes and minimise waste.
  • Leading Kaizen activities and continuous improvement initiatives to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Utilising digital manufacturing techniques to enhance production efficiency and data-driven decision-making.

Education Qualification
Candidates should have a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of:
  • Leading teams and overseeing production processes, ensuring adherence to goals and quality standards.
  • Implementing and managing continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Utilising quality management systems and tools to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Demonstrating strong proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office and familiarity with Manufacturing Systems.
This extensive experience will enable the candidate to handle complex challenges that arise in a manufacturing setup effectively.
General Experience
10-12 years years
Critical Experience
Critical experience for this role includes:
  • Exposure to assembly line operations in the automobile or tractor manufacturing sectors, where attention to detail and safety is paramount.
  • Hands-on experience with production planning, quality control processes, and familiarity with the associated documentation required for ISO compliance.
  • Demonstrating leadership in driving change initiatives and engaging with teams at all levels to foster a culture of excellence.
  • Experience in utilising digital tools and technologies to optimise manufacturing processes and enhance decision-making capabilities.
