Assistant Floor Manager

As a Banquet Manager in the restaurant industry with a minimum of 10 years of experience, your role will be crucial in ensuring the successful planning and execution of various events. Your responsibilities will include discussing sales contract details with the banquet sales director and head chef, planning venue layouts based on guest numbers and event types, and determining the staffing requirements for table waiters and servers. You will be overseeing the setup of tables, chairs, cutlery, and other dining essentials, as well as coordinating with the Head Chef on meal timing and service. Additionally, you will manage the seating arrangements, meal and beverage service, and table clearing, while ensuring the availability of liquor and soft drinks when needed. Your role will also involve preparing work schedules, maintaining documentation, and addressing customer inquiries and special requests in a professional manner. To excel in this role, you should hold an accredited certificate or diploma in catering, culinary arts, or hospitality, with a Bachelor's degree being preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in banquet management is required, along with proficiency in catering management software. Your ability to effectively plan banquets, manage budgets, supervise venue staff, and collaborate with sales directors and chefs will be essential. Moreover, your extensive knowledge of catering equipment, venue requirements, and industry best practices, coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, will contribute to your success in this position.
