Assistant Editor



Content Acquisition

  • Acquire and develop top-tier books and digital products that align with our publishing strategy.
  • Stay ahead of market trends, understand the competitive landscape and identify content gaps and opportunities.
  • Contribute to our publishing roadmap by developing strong business cases for new titles, including sales projections and cost analyses.



Author Management

  • Build and nurture relationships with authors, academics and industry experts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for authors, guiding them through the publishing process.
  • Negotiate contracts with authors and subject matter experts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Collaborate with authors to refine content, ensuring alignment with market needs and editorial standards.



Marketing and Sales Collaboration

  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to align products with commercial objectives.
  • Develop compelling book positioning, key selling points and promotional materials.
  • Attend industry events, conferences and book fairs—championing our products and expanding our network.
