Job Description

Job title: Assistant Area Sales Manager - Prolink

Sub-Function: Projects

Reports to: ASM Prolink

Age profile: 25 – 35

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive institutional sales through key stakeholders including architects, builders, consultants, and contractors.
  • Manage, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Identify and capitalize on new project opportunities to enhance market presence and revenue generation.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for business development to ensure sustained growth and long-term success.
  • Oversee key account management and build lasting relationships with major clients to ensure continued business success.
  • Responsible for budgeting, sales planning, and forecasting for institutional sales across the financial year for the depot.
  • Build and expand a robust network of business partners, industry influencers, and key stakeholders.
  • Nurture and strengthen relationships with existing business partners to ensure high satisfaction and long-term collaboration.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to the frontline team to enhance their performance and capabilities.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA with a specialization in Marketing preferred).
  • 7-10 years of proven experience in institutional sales, particularly within the paints or building materials sector, working with architects, builders, contractors, and other industry professionals.
  • Demonstrated success in managing teams, developing strategies, and driving business growth in a competitive market.
