Assistant Accountant

Department: Finance & Accounts
Reporting To: Managing Partner
Experience: 2–5 years (preferred)
Education: B.Com / M.Com / Equivalent

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with strong knowledge of Tally ERP, sales and purchase accounting, and general accounting principles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end billing, purchase and sales entry, invoice management, expense tracking, and day-to-day financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record and manage sales and purchase invoices accurately in Tally ERP.
• Ensure timely billing and filing of all vouchers, bills, and supporting documents.
• Maintain day-to-day accounting entries, including journal vouchers, payments, and receipts.
• Track and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and maintain ledgers, cash book, and bank reconciliation statements.
• Coordinate with vendors and clients regarding billing discrepancies, credit notes, and payments.
• Assist in GST filings, TDS compliance, and other statutory obligations as per applicable laws.
• Generate MIS reports, financial summaries, and support monthly closings.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing for internal and statutory audits.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Proficiency in Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, GST, and TDS.
• Good command over Excel and basic financial reporting.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational and documentation skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently or in a team.
• Experience in working with inventory and stock entries (preferred but not mandatory).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
