HLL LIFE CARE LTD Job Title: Area Sales Manager Gynecology / GP Division Industry: Pharmaceuticals Gynaecology Segment JOB LOCATION :- Chennai, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Belgaum, Hyderabad Salary:- Negotiable Job Objective: To lead and manage a team of Medical Representatives in promoting the companys gynaecological product range, driving prescription generation, and achieving territory sales targets through effective field operations and doctor engagement. Key Responsibilities: 1. Team Management Train, and motivate Medical Representatives (MRs). Conduct joint field work with MRs to provide on-the-job coaching and ensure effective product detailing. Monitor team performance and ensure target achievement on a monthly and quarterly basis. 2. Sales & Target Achievement Ensure achievement of area sales targets and product-wise growth objectives. Track and analyze sales trends, taking corrective actions where necessary. Monitor primary and secondary sales within the assigned territory. 3. Product Promotion & Doctor Engagement Oversee the promotion of gynaecological products to target doctors (mainly gynaecologists and obstetricians). Support team in organizing CMEs, doctor meetings, and promotional activities. Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and major stakeholders. 4. Reporting & Coordination Review daily call reports, tour programs, and field activity reports of the team. Coordinate with the supply chain and stockists to ensure product availability. Submit timely sales forecasts, expense statements, and market intelligence. 5. Compliance & Ethics Ensure all field activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and ethical practices. Qualifications & Skills: Education: Graduate in Science or Pharmacy preferred. MBA is an added advantage. Experience : 4-6 years in pharmaceutical sales, with at least 1-2 years in a frontline management role. Experience in Gynaecology segment is preferred. Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities Effective communication and interpersonal skills Analytical and strategic thinking Sound knowledge of MS Office and reporting tools
