Role: Area Sales Manager (OT Lights & OT Tables)

Locations: Tamil Nadu / Hyderabad / Andhra Pradesh & Telangana / Karnataka

1. Role Overview

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales and the market expansion of Hospedia's OT Lights and OT Tables in the assigned territory. The role demands strong technical understanding of surgical/OT equipment, relationship-building with hospitals and channel partners, and consistent achievement of sales targets.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Sales Achievement & Business Growth

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for OT Lights and OT Tables.
  • Expand business by identifying new hospitals, nursing homes, surgical centers, and dealers.
  • Manage the full sales cycle – enquiry, demo coordination, negotiation, closing, and order follow-up.
  • Generate revenue through new installations, replacements, and techno-commercial sales.

B. Hospital-Level Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Surgeons, OT In-charges, Purchase Teams, Bio-Medical Engineers, Facility Managers, and Hospital Management.
  • Conduct product presentations, technical discussions, and on-site demonstrations.
  • Understand hospital requirements and recommend suitable configurations of OT lights/tables.

C. Channel / Dealer Management

  • Develop and manage dealer networks within the region.
  • Ensure proper stock availability, display, pricing discipline, and territory coverage.
  • Train dealer teams on technical features, competitive advantages, and selling points.

D. Coordination With Internal Departments

  • Work closely with the Service Team, ensuring timely installation, service calls, and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with Production for delivery schedules and customization requirements.
  • Provide market and competitor intelligence to the management team.

E. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily visit reports, enquiry logs, sales projections, and funnel updates through CRM.
  • Maintain competitor comparison matrices and industry insights.
  • Submit weekly/monthly MIS reports to the reporting manager.

3. Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of medical equipment sales, particularly OT equipment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to engage with senior hospital authorities and decision-makers.
  • Technical aptitude for explaining OT Lights & OT Table features.
  • Relationship-building and territory management skills.
  • Result-oriented, disciplined, and comfortable with frequent travel.

4. Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (Science, Engineering, Biomedical, or equivalent preferred).
  • Minimum 2–7 years of sales experience in medical equipment / OT equipment / capital equipment.
  • Experience with Operating Room equipment is a strong advantage.
  • Must know the local market of the assigned region (Tamil Nadu / AP & Telangana / Karnataka / Hyderabad).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.

5. Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to travel extensively within the allocated state.
  • Good command of local language (Tamil / Telugu / Kannada).
  • Own two-wheeler or willingness to travel with company arrangements.
  • Immediate joiners preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
