Job Description

Job Title: Retail Sales Manager – Automotive Department: Sales Reports To: Sales Head / General Manager Job Summary:We are looking for a high-performing Retail Sales Manager to oversee the end-to-end sales process and drive customer conversions across all retail touchpoints. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the E-T-B-R cycle (Enquiry, Test Drive, Booking, Retail), ensuring digital tool adoption, enhancing manpower productivity, and improving retail KPIs including VDN vs. Retail and Conversion Ratio (CVR). Key Responsibilities:Sales ManagementManage the entire E-T-B-R process to deliver seamless retail sales execution. Ensure the quality and quantity of test drives from all enquiry sources. Maintain accuracy and authenticity of booking and DMS data. Achieve retail sales targets and maintain a healthy VDN vs. Retail ratio. Drive process improvements to maximize conversion ratios (CVR). Marketing & Lead GenerationPlan and execute on-ground activations to generate customer enquiries. Forecast and plan for current and upcoming month (N and N+1) sales performance. Team ManagementMonitor manpower productivity, identify skill gaps, and ensure effective training. Motivate and retain the team through structured incentives and rewards. Ensure all team members adhere to the defined Sales Story and pitch. Digital AdoptionEnsure usage and effectiveness of digital tools including: Test Drive Anytime Anywhere (TDAA) Personal Voice Assistant (PVA) Bring Showroom Home (BSH) Virtual Reality (VR) and Sales Tablets Oversee the performance and training of Digital Engagement Managers. Operational EfficiencyManage dealer working capital rotation efficiently. Monitor aging stock and initiate actions for liquidation. Reduce market outstanding and align forecasting with stock planning. Qualifications & Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred). 3–6 years of experience in automotive retail sales, preferably in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of CRM/DMS systems, sales metrics, and digital tools. Proven ability to lead a sales team, drive performance, and manage operational KPIs. Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Preferred Attributes:Passion for customer satisfaction and automotive excellence. Tech-savvy with experience in digital retailing. Strategic thinker with a focus on execution and results.
