Job Title: Area Sales Manager – FMCG

Location: Mumbai/Gujarat

Experience: 3–7 years in FMCG Sales

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager (ASM) to drive sales, expand market presence, and manage distributor and retailer networks within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate must have strong FMCG experience, team-handling capability, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned area.
  • Manage and expand distribution channels, ensuring optimal stock availability and product visibility.
  • Lead, guide, and motivate the sales executives/DSRs to improve productivity and coverage.
  • Conduct regular market visits to monitor competitor activities, pricing, schemes, and market trends.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key trade partners.
  • Implement sales strategies, schemes, and promotions effectively at the ground level.
  • Ensure timely execution of market activations, brand visibility, and merchandising.
  • Monitor sales performance, reporting, and forecasting for the territory.
  • Resolve market issues, ensure collections, and maintain credit discipline.
  • Conduct monthly review meetings with the team and distributors.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduate
  • 3–7 years of FMCG sales experience (Foods/Beverages).
  • Strong knowledge of distributor management, retail operations, and territory expansion.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a field team effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and sales reporting tools.
  • Experience with Bzome software will be an added advantage.
