Job Description

As an Area Sales Manager for Modern Trade in South India (Hyderabad), you will be responsible for achieving sales targets for modern trade accounts by effectively managing key customer relationships and overseeing sales execution at retail outlets. Your key responsibilities will include: - Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key accounts such as supermarkets, hypermarkets, and department stores to drive sales growth. This involves ensuring that the company's products are well-represented and available. - Ensuring that the company's products are prominently displayed, well-stocked, and supported by effective merchandising and promotional strategies in modern trade outlets. - Leading and supporting the modern trade sales team, providing guidance, training, and performance reviews to maximize team productivity and sales performance. - Planning and implementing in-store promotions, product launches, and campaigns in collaboration with marketing teams to align strategies with brand guidelines and consumer demands. - Providing detailed reports on sales activities, key account performance, market trends, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to senior management. - Identifying new opportunities for business growth within modern trade, including expanding product listings, securing new retail partners, and entering new regions or retail formats. - Working closely with key accounts to negotiate pricing, terms, and promotional support, ensuring mutual benefit and alignment with company objectives. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. - 5-7 years of experience in modern trade sales within the FMCG industry. - Proven track record of managing and growing modern trade accounts. - Strong understanding of the modern trade landscape, retail operations, and sales strategies. - Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills. - Ability to analyse sales data and trends to make informed business decisions. - Strong leadership and team management abilities. - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.,
