Area Sales Manager- Modern Trade

As an Area Sales Manager for Modern Trade in South India (Hyderabad), your role will involve achieving sales targets for modern trade accounts by effectively managing key customer relationships and overseeing sales execution at retail outlets. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key accounts such as supermarkets, hypermarkets, and department stores to drive sales growth. It will be crucial to ensure that the company's products are prominently displayed, well-stocked, and supported by effective merchandising and promotional strategies in modern trade outlets. Key Responsibilities: - Achieve sales targets for modern trade accounts by managing key customer relationships and overseeing sales execution. - Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts to ensure sales growth. - Ensure products are well-represented and available in modern trade outlets. - Lead and support the modern trade sales team, providing guidance, training, and performance reviews. - Plan and implement in-store promotions, product launches, and campaigns. - Provide detailed reports on sales activities, key account performance, market trends, competitor analysis, and customer feedback. - Identify new opportunities for business growth within modern trade. - Negotiate pricing, terms, and promotional support with key accounts. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. - 5-7 years of experience in modern trade sales within the FMCG industry. - Proven track record of managing and growing modern trade accounts. - Strong understanding of the modern trade landscape, retail operations, and sales strategies. - Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills. - Ability to analyze sales data and trends to make informed business decisions. - Strong leadership and team management abilities. - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.,
