Job Description

Job Title: Area Sales Manager (ASM) Paint Markers and office stationery products

Department: OPD

Reports To: ZM

Location: [Pune, Delhi NCR]

Experience: 58 years in Industrial / B2B Sales, preferably in consumable products (markers, adhesives, office stationery products etc.)

Role Objective:

  • To drive sales and market development of Paint Markers and Industrial Marking Products in the assigned territory by engaging with industrial customers, OEMs, and channel partners.
  • The role focuses on achieving sales targets, building strong customer relationships, and expanding Kores presence in industrial segments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Business Development

• Achieve assigned sales, collection, and growth targets for paint markers and related industrial products.

• Identify and develop new customers across industries such as automotive, auto ancillaries, fabrication, metal, engineering, construction, heavy equipment, and OEMs.

• Conduct product trials, demos at customer sites.

• Generate demand through regular customer visits, plant audits, and product value communication.

• Map key accounts and convert regular consumption into long-term business.

2. Channel & Distribution Management

• Appoint, develop, and manage distributors and industrial stockists within the assigned

territory.

• Ensure product availability, timely billing, and secondary sales growth.

• Implement company schemes, incentive plans, and promotional activities at the trade level.

• Regularly review channel performance and take corrective measures for coverage gaps.

3. Key Account Management

• Build and maintain relationships with procurement, maintenance, production, and quality teams at industrial units.

• Handle tenders, rate contracts, and long-term supply agreements for large customers.

• Coordinate with technical and marketing teams for trials, product approvals, and application support.

4. Market Intelligence & Reporting

• Track competitor activities, pricing, and product movements to identify business threats and opportunities.

• Provide feedback on product performance, packaging, and new requirements from the field.

• Prepare weekly/monthly reports on sales performance, pipeline, and market trends.

5. Cross-functional Coordination

• Collaborate with marketing, production, logistics, and accounts teams for smooth order execution.

• Share insights for new product development and promotional content based on field learnings.

Qualifications:

• Graduate in Science /Commerce;

• MBA in Marketing and sales preferred;

• Prior experience in industrial consumables, paints, tools, or maintenance supplies will be an advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong B2B and institutional selling skills.

• Technical understanding of industrial marking, surface preparation, and material compatibility.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.

• Proficiency in Excel, CRM, and reporting tools.

• Energetic, target-driven, and willing to travel extensively.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Achievement of sales and collection targets.

• New customer acquisition and retention rate.

• Channel coverage and secondary sales growth.

• Product penetration across industrial sectors.

• Customer satisfaction and repeat order ratios.
