Job Title: TMT Steel Bars Area Sales Manager

Location: Required for ERNAKULAM

Reports to: Zonal Manager / Sales Head

Job Summary: The TMT Sales Officer will be responsible for driving new client acquisition, and building relationships with dealers, contractors, and project stakeholders to generate business growth in the TMT steel sector. The primary goal will be converting clients from competitors and ensuring long-term partnerships with contractors and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

New Client Acquisition:

  • Identify and target potential clients in the construction and infrastructure sectors, including contractors, dealers, and project developers.
  • Build and maintain a solid pipeline of prospective clients, with a focus on converting competitors’ clients.
  • Execute sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand the customer base for TMT products.

Sales Conversion & Negotiation:

  • Approach and negotiate with dealers, contractors, and project heads for business conversion.
  • Conduct presentations and provide customized proposals to win over new clients and secure contracts.
  • Convert project requirements into sales orders by ensuring the best fit of TMT products for client needs.

Market Research & Competitor Analysis:

  • Keep track of competitors’ activities, industry trends, and market shifts to anticipate client demands and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Continuously assess competitors' strengths and weaknesses to tailor your pitch for potential clients currently working with other brands.

Relationship Building:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the construction, real estate, and infrastructure industries.
  • Ensure exceptional post-sales service to maintain long-term relationships with clients.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and dealers to address product requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely deliveries.

Sales Reporting & Strategy:

  • Provide regular updates on sales performance, lead conversion, and market insights to senior management.
  • Track client progress, order conversions, and milestones for specific projects.
  • Suggest and implement strategies to improve market penetration and client conversion rates.

Product Knowledge & Technical Expertise:

  • Stay informed about the latest developments in TMT steel products, their uses, and application in construction projects.
  • Provide technical information and specifications to clients and advise on product selection based on project requirements.

Target Achievement:

  • Meet individual sales targets, focusing on revenue generation through new client acquisition and project conversions.
  • Develop sales forecasts and work to achieve set quotas for TMT steel product sales.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience of minimum 1 year in B2B sales and Customer Support is a must. Experience within the construction, steel, or building material sectors is preferred though not mandatory. Prior experience of 1 year in dealing with contractors, dealers, and project stakeholders is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong sales acumen with a focus on lead generation and conversion.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical understanding of TMT products and their applications in construction projects, or ready to undertake our in-house training.
  • Ability to analyze competitors' strategies and adapt accordingly.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field. Technical knowledge in a similar field would be an advantage.

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel to client locations, including project sites and meetings.
  • Male candidate required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
