Role & responsibilities Job Title: Area Sales Manager E-commerce Location: Patna, Bihar (38 districts of Bihar) Department: Sales & Business Development Reports To: Regional Sales Manager / Head of E-commerce Sales Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Area Sales Manager for our e-commerce vertical. The role involves managing and expanding the brand's online sales presence across a designated geographic area. You will be responsible for driving growth through online platforms (marketplaces, aggregators, D2C), developing partnerships, and executing regional e-commerce strategies. Key Responsibilities: Sales & Revenue Generation: Achieve and exceed sales targets through key e-commerce platforms Drive GMV growth and ensure optimal product availability and pricing across channels. Account & Channel Management: Develop strong relationships with category managers of e-commerce platforms. Manage listings, pricing, promotions, and inventory planning in coordination with the marketing and supply chain teams. Performance Analysis: Track sales data, campaign performance, and consumer insights to optimize performance. Monitor competitor activities and market trends to refine strategy. Operational Coordination: Collaborate with logistics, finance, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations. Resolve order fulfillment issues, returns, and customer complaints. Marketing Support: Work with digital marketing and branding teams to run online campaigns and promotions. Recommend and support execution of SEO/SEM, paid ads, and influencer collaborations to boost traffic and conversion. Reporting: Prepare weekly/monthly reports on performance metrics, forecasts, and growth opportunities. Present actionable insights to senior management. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred). 5-10 years of relevant experience in e-commerce sales or key account management. Proven success in achieving sales targets and managing online platforms. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficiency in Excel, analytics tools, and familiarity with e-commerce dashboards. Ability to travel within the region as needed. Preferred Experience: Experience in a similar role within FMCG, consumer electronics, fashion, or beauty industries. Understanding of digital marketing metrics and performance-driven sales.
