Job Description

Area Sales Manager (ASM)

Key Responsibilities

1. Territory Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Achieve monthly & quarterly sales targets for

    IFPs, commercial displays, LED panels, and special display categories

    .
  • Identify new B2B opportunities within assigned geography.
  • Conduct product demos, client meetings, and solution-oriented discussions.

2. Institutional & Corporate Sales

  • Target educational institutions:
    • Schools, Colleges, Universities, Training Institutes

  • Focus on key verticals:
    • Hospitals & Medical Colleges

    • Jewellery Showrooms & Retail Chains

    • Corporate Offices, IT Parks, SMEs

  • Build strong relationships with principals, trustees, department heads, IT managers, purchase teams, and business owners.

3. Channel Development

  • Appoint and manage

    dealers, distributors, AV integrators, resellers

    .
  • Ensure channel partners are trained on product features, pricing, and sales strategies.
  • Improve product placement, visibility, and branch market penetration.

4. Sales Operations & Pipeline Management

  • Maintain daily/weekly sales reports and CRM updates.
  • Coordinate with the service team for demos, installations, and customer support.
  • Track competitor activities, pricing, and upcoming business projects.

5. Customer Engagement & Retention

  • Build long-term relationships with high-value clients.
  • Drive repeat orders, upselling, cross-selling, and AMC conversions.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues.

Skills & Qualifications Required

Education

  • Any degree (MBA preferred).
  • Technical understanding of

    Electronics, IT, Displays, or AV solutions

    is an advantage.

Experience

  • 3–7+ years

    in:
    • B2B Sales
    • Institutional / Educational Sales
    • AV / Commercial Display Sales
    • EdTech / IT Hardware Sales
  • Experience handling sectors like

    schools, hospitals, jewelry chains, corporates

    is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in high-value product sales and consistent target achievement.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of:
    • IFP systems

    • LED Walls / Signage

    • Commercial Displays

    • AV integration workflows

    • Basic networking & connectivity for displays

Behavioral Competencies

  • Strong communication & presentation skills
  • Negotiation and closing abilities
  • Self-driven, disciplined, and target-oriented
  • Ability to build rapport with decision makers
  • Good at territory planning & time management
