Area Production Manager

The Area Production Manager role in the agriscience industry typically involves overseeing agricultural production operations across a designated geographic area.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Oversight:

• Manage day-to-day agricultural production activities including crop or livestock operations
• Ensure production targets are met efficiently and within budget.
• Monitor and optimize the use of resources such as labor, equipment, and inputs.

Quality & Compliance:

• Implement and monitor quality control standards.
• Ensure proper handling and application of agricultural chemicals.
• Maintain records for audits and regulatory compliance.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Build and maintain relationships with farmers, suppliers, and clients
• Educate clients on best practices and product usage.
• Represent the company at industry events and meetings.

Planning & Coordination:

• Develop and revise production schedules based on operational needs.
• Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and logistics teams.
• Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to improve production methods.

Reporting & Analysis:

• Track performance metrics such as yield, cost, and efficiency.
• Prepare reports for senior management.
• Analyze data to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science, Agribusiness, Food Science, or related field.
• Experience in agricultural production, preferably in a managerial role.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with agricultural software and data analysis tools.
