Area Head

To lead and manage the sales operations for a specific State/Region, driving sales through bank branches, building strong relationships with banking partners, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets while maintaining high standards of service and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle the sales team of a particular State/Region as a whole, which includes Cluster Managers and Front-Line Sales Team.
• Drive sales and achieve targets through the bank branches.
• Support the CRO (Chief Risk Officer, or could be Chief Revenue Officer/Chief Retail Officer depending on context - assuming sales focus) in his/her sales effort, including generating benefit illustrations and accompanying on client calls if required.
• Engage in an open and trusting relationship with the Branch Managers/officers/staff, recognizing the bank as a key customer.
• Engage the employees of the bank branches in regular discussions to enhance their knowledge about insurance, product offerings, and understand their issues/concerns about selling insurance (if any).
• Identify potential partners through preliminary meetings.
• Ensure that all service requirements are met, medicals facilitated, and customers are satisfied.
• Spearhead all lead generation initiatives from the bank, whether through walk-ins, data-mining, referrals, and other channels.

Measures of Success:

• Achieving sales targets.
• Activating and penetrating branches for Insurance Sales.
• Arranging training programs for bank staff on products and selling skills.
• Increasing productivity of bank branches.
• Relationship Management excellence.
