Job Description

Responsibilities:

Customer Interaction: Address customer concerns with documentation, standards, CSRs, etc. as related to PPAP submission.
PPAP Process: Manage the volume of PPAP requests and their due dates. Continuous Improvement: Create and implement process improvements. Process Compliance: Comply with Optimas’ established processes. Reporting KPIs: Review and take action to meet assigned Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Data Collection and Analysis: Collect quality-related data and perform trend analysis to identify patterns and trends. Documentation: Maintain required documentation for quality systems and procedures. Learning and Development: Continuously learn and apply quality engineering concepts and techniques. Product Knowledge: Understanding the manufacturing of the product, as well as heat treatment, surface coatings, and locking/sealing patches

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent, Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Skilled in blueprint reading; GD&T knowledge advantageous.

10+ years in a quality role or equivalent performance; CQE or CQM certification a plus.

10+ years of experience in manufacturing quality.

Advanced Core Quality Tools: APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, and PPAP.

Clear understanding of SAE, ISO, IFI, and ASME.

Strong understanding of Gage R&R and Capability Studies.

Understanding of IATF 16949:2016 requirements (certified internal auditor experience a plus).

Computer Proficiency: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Minitab, ERP, Tableau, Minitab.

Automotive industry experience preferred.

Fastener product knowledge is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
