15 years full time educationSummary: As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as a software detective, providing a dynamic service that identifies and resolves issues within various components of critical business systems. Your typical day will involve collaborating with team members to troubleshoot problems, analyzing system performance, and ensuring the smooth operation of applications that are vital to business functions. You will engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide timely solutions, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization. Roles & Responsibilities: - VM Lifecycle Management - Provision, configure, and manage virtual machines in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP. - Perform OS-level configurations (Linux/Windows) and updates. - Handle VM resizing, backup, patching, and decommissioning tasks. - Cloud Infrastructure Operations - Maintain VM templates, golden images, and autoscaling configurations. - Manage VM availability sets, scale sets, snapshots, and storage volumes. - Ensure VM and resource tagging for cost and inventory tracking. - Automation & IaC -Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or ARM templates to automate VM provisioning and configuration. - Create and maintain automation scripts (Bash, PowerShell, Python) for operational tasks. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Azure IaaS, Ansible on Microsoft Azure. - Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure management and deployment strategies. - Cloud Platforms AWS (EC2, AMI, VPC), Azure (VMs, Scale Sets), GCP (Compute Engine) - OS Administration Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu), Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) - Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across various system components. -IaC & Automation Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, ARM templates, PowerShell -Scripting Bash, PowerShell, Python -Monitoring CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Zabbix -Backup & DR Snapshots, Cloud-native backups, Commvault, Veeam (optional) -Security: IAM, RBAC, NSGs, firewalls, encryption, patching tools -Cost Management : Rightsizing, Reserved Instances, Billing/Cost Explorer tools Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Microsoft Azure IaaS. - This position is based at our Gurugram office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
