Job Overview We are looking for a highly motivated Application Engineer to support technical services, customer interaction, and product application activities for flat steel products in the automotive and manufacturing segments. Key Responsibilities Assist in providing technical support and product application solutions to customers across automotive and non-automotive sectors. Support in new product trials and testing coordination between customers and the plant. Help gather, analyze and interpret technical data related to performance, quality, and application of steel products. Coordinate with internal teams for VAVE/VIU/EVI activities to drive business development. Support customer complaint resolution by collecting on-field data and working with QA teams. Prepare technical documents, presentations, and reports for customer and internal review. Assist in maintaining product knowledge sessions and support local channel partners with technical education. Collaborate with senior application engineers and sales team to strengthen customer engagement. Provide training, product knowledge and segments understanding in collaboration with State Lead/ Regional Lead to newly joined BDMs and work alongside them to expand their expertise Basic Qualification Basic understanding of cold rolled, galvanized, and coated flat steel products Strong communication and presentation skills Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability Familiarity with automotive customer handling or OEM processes is a plus Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PPT) and basic data analysis Willingness to travel across the assigned region for customer visits Education & Experience: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production Engineering 12 years of experience in Product Application / Technical Services / Quality / Operations role in steel or allied industry
