Job Description

Innowings is seeking a Android Developer with a strong interest in building modern, high-quality Android applications. This role is perfect for fresh graduates or early-career developers who want hands-on experience with Kotlin/Java, Jetpack Components, and emerging technologies like Augmented Reality (AR).

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications using Kotlin and Java
• Implement modern Android architecture using Jetpack Components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, Navigation, DataBinding/ViewBinding)
• Integrate REST APIs using Retrofit and handle JSON responses
• Work with local data storage using SQLite / Room
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to build responsive and user-friendly interfaces
• Assist in developing AR-based features using ARCore or related libraries (basic exposure)
• Debug, test, and optimize applications for performance, security, and scalability
• Participate in code reviews and follow clean coding and MVVM best practices
• Stay updated with Android SDK updates and development trends

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of:
• Kotlin and Java
• Android SDK
• Jetpack Components (View Model, Live Data, Room)
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and networking concepts
• Experience with Retrofit for API integration
• Knowledge of SQLite and/or Room Database
• Familiarity with Git or version control systems
• Basic understanding of MVVM architecture
• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn

Good to Have

• Hands-on project or internship experience in Android development
• Exposure to ARCore, 3D models, or camera-based features
• Experience with Material Design guidelines
• Knowledge of dependency injection (Hilt / Dagger – basic)
• Experience publishing apps to Google Play Store
